The continued growth of Nature Valley crunchy granola bars got another boost recently with the opening of a new production line at General Mills’ existing facility in San Adrian, Spain.

The line was completed on time and adds capacity for our expanding European market.

In the past, Nature Valley bars had been produced at our facility in Argentina and shipped to Europe for sale.

During the fall of 2007, Nature Valley became the No. 1 snack bar brand in grocery stores

in the United Kingdom, which is the top market in Europe for Nature Valley.

And net sales outside Canada and the United States for Nature Valley are up 66 percent through January over net sales of a year ago.
